Goals
The program aims to generate livelihood opportunities for local communities through the enhancement of local capacities and the creation of sustainable tourism and cultural infrastructures.

- Rehabilitation of Shobak Castle
- Setup of the museum area
- Organization of training courses for local professionals in the field of cultural heritage preservation and enhancement
Implementer: UNOPS (United Nations Office for Project Services)
- Development of a site management plan
- Implementation of tourist pathways
- Renovation of areas outside the castle
- Rehabilitation of housing units along tourist pathways for local economic activities (bed & breakfast, artisan shops, other tourist activities)
- External improvements to the castle, including access for people with disabilities, protective walls, signage, lighting, and a parking area for the tourist route
