Successful completion of the first  week of excavation for the construction of the access staircase to the museum. Shobak, Jordan – July 18, 2024 – The University of Florence, in collaboration with the  Department of Antiquities of Jordan (DOA), proudly announces the successful completion of the first  week of excavation for the construction of the access staircase to the museum, located under the Crusader period church of St. Mary in the Shobak Castle. The activities are part of the "Programme to support socio-economic recovery in the protected area of Shobak Castle," carried out with the support of AICS-AMMAN and implemented by the University of Florence in collaboration with the Department of Antiquities of Jordan.   Works by IMKAN.

Successful Conclusion of the "Site Presentation and Museum Design: Cultural Heritage and Social Media" Course in Wadi Mousa, Jordan. Wadi Mousa, Jordan – May 19, 2024 – The University of Florence, in collaboration with the Italian  the Department of Antiquities of Jordan (DOA), proudly announces the successful completion of the six-week course titled "Site Presentation and Museum Design: Cultural Heritage and Social Media", part of the Program to Support the Socio-Economic Recovery in the Protected Area of Shobak Castle (funded by AICS – Italian Agency for Development Cooperation), commenced on March 11 and concluded on May 19, 2024.
