TRAINEES SELECTION for 4 TRAINEES
*Application Deadline: October 30, 2023*
The University of Florence, in collaboration with the Department of Antiquities of Jordan (DoA) and with the support of AICS (Italian Agency for Development Cooperation), is organizing a selection procedure based on qualifications to establish a list of *4 TRAINEES for 6 WEEKS*. These trainees will have the opportunity to attend an international training program managed by the Department of History, Archaeology, Geography, Fine and Performing Arts (SAGAS) of the University of Florence, Italy, and financed by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation. The program is as follows:

The Training Course in Brief

- Conducted by qualified trainers from the University of Florence, Italy.
- Comprises frontal lessons, workshops/practicum, and personal projects/assignments.
- Includes frontal lectures and workshops that focus on 3D modeling and GIS theory and methods, as well as practical data elaboration and development for archaeology.
- Frontal lectures and workshops will be held in Wadi Mousa and/or Shobak, Jordan, and/or online.
- Course duration: 6 weeks.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility:

- BA and/or MA candidates in Archaeology / Cultural Heritage / Tourism Management / History / Architecture / Engineering / Conservation and Management of Cultural Heritage / similar degrees.
- Members of the Department of Antiquities (DoA) and/or other institutions/companies dealing with Archaeology / Cultural Heritage / Tourism Management / History / Architecture / Engineering / Conservation and Management of Cultural Heritage / similar topics.
- Professionals, trainers, workers/apprentices, and/or attendees in trainees/courses dealing with Archaeology / Cultural Heritage / Tourism Management / History / Architecture / Engineering / Conservation and Management of Cultural Heritage / similar topics.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Grants Available:

- A limited number of grants are available to support eligible candidates. Grant criteria can be found in the "APPLY HERE" link.

Requirements:

- Mandatory attendance of classes and workshops in Wadi Musa and/or Shobak and/or online.
- Ability to independently reach lecture venues and practical workshop sites.
- Ability to independently attend online lectures and practical workshops.

TRAINEES SELECTION RESULTS 
The four trainees selected for the training course "3D MODELLING AND GIS FOR ARCHAEOOGY"are :

1.Ms. Hakimah Ismail AlZaidanin (Department of Antiquities - Ma'an Office – Architect – BA from Al-Bayt University).

2. Mr. Ehab Alzydaniean (Department of Antiquities - Ma'an Office).

3. Ms. Wejdan Ahmad Al-Hasanat (MA in archaeology from Hussein Bin Tal’al University).

4. Mr. Mohammad Bdoul (Local contractor employee – archaeological documentation trainer)
