Not all artifacts can fit in the museum at once, but they are still important. The Backstage Gallery is a special space where many stone objects from Shobak are kept safe and studied. These include carved inscriptions, decorative or architectural elements from the great traditions, and everyday tools used by the people who lived here.
Because the museum has limited space, some artifacts are stored here instead of being on permanent display. The Backstage Gallery helps protect them while letting researchers study them up close. It also allows the museum to change the exhibits over time, so visitors can see new objects and learn more about Shobak’s history.
This space also helps share Shobak’s story with the world. Thanks to the Backstage Gallery, artifacts can travel to special exhibitions in Jordan and other countries, helping more people discover the history of this very special archaeological site.
